چکیده

In this paper, we investigate the influence of different Walsh-Hadamard (WH) code allocation techniques on the performance of multi-carrier code division multiple access (CDMA) systems in the presence of high power amplifier (HPA) non-linearities. We consider two different multi-carrier CDMA schemes: multi-carrier CDMA (MCCDMA) and multi-carrier direct sequence CDMA (MC-DSCDMA) and analyse their performance in terms of total degradation and spectral spreading for different number of active users.

A Novel Multi-user Detection Approach on Fluctuations of Autocorrelation Estimators in Non-Cooperative Communication

Recently, blind multi-user detection has become an important topic in code division multiple access (CDMA) systems. Direct-Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS) signals are well-known due to their low probability of detection, and secure communication. In this article, the problem of blind multi-user detection is studied in variable processing gain direct-sequence code division multiple access (VPG D...

Performance Analysis of ZF Pre-Coder and Extended Joint Channel Estimation Method in Downlink CDMA with HPA

In the down link scenario of code division multiple access (CDMA) systems, multi user detectors (MUDs) such as linear de-correlating detector (LDDs) provide satisfactory symbol error rates (SERs) at the expense of much increased complexity, they require all active users’ spreading sequences, which is impractical from privacy point of view. To overcome this impracticality, a simple matched filte...

Multi-Carrier CDMA Systems Using Bridge Functions

Multi-Carrier CDMA systems appear to be a good candidate for high speed wireless data transmission. These systems avoid time domain equalization and have the capability of achieving high diversity gains over frequency selective fading channels. Orthogonal Walsh-Hadamard spreading waveforms have been commonly considered for these systems. However, reliable system performance over frequency selec...

Effects of Spreading Sequences on the Performance of MC-CDMA System with Nonlinear Models of HPA

Performance evaluation and comparison of multi-carrier code division multiple access (MC-CDMA) system model for different spreading sequences at the presence of Saleh and Rapp model of high power amplifier (HPA) is investigated. Nonlinear amplification introduces degradation of bit error performance and destroys the orthogonality among subcarriers. In order to avoid performance degradation with...

Performance Analysis of MIMO MC-DS/CDMA System Using Chaotic Spreading Sequence

This paper presents a novel chaotic spreading sequence for multiple input multiple output multi-carrier direct sequence code division multiple access (MIMO MCDS/CDMA) systems. The effect of multiple access interference can be mitigated by choosing the spreading sequences with appropriate cross-correlation properties. The performance of the system is analysed in multiuser scenario with the aid o...
